Will college coaches accept Lightning film?

Yes — Lightning film links are shareable URLs just like Hudl. Most college coaches accept film from any source that plays in a browser; some leagues and showcases still require Hudl specifically, so check before dropping Hudl entirely.

Can I import my Hudl roster?

Yes. Hudl supports CSV roster export. Lightning's 60-second CSV import handles it directly.

Is the Lightning game tracker the same as Hudl Assist?

No — they do different jobs. Lightning's pitch tracker is real-time, coach-operated stat tracking (same model as Hudl's manual tracking), and it generates an AI recap from the games you track, included free. Hudl Assist is paid AI that watches your uploaded film and auto-tags plays — Lightning does not do automated film tagging. If auto-tagging from film is what you need, that is a Hudl strength.

What about Hudl Focus cameras?

Lightning doesn't sell cameras. If you already own Hudl Focus, you can keep using it and upload film to Lightning manually.
