What happened to BeRecruited?

It was retired on February 1, 2023. The platform announced it was joining NCSA College Recruiting, and user accounts and profile data were transitioned to NCSA. The BeRecruited app and site no longer operate.

Is my old BeRecruited profile gone?

The profile data was moved to NCSA — their announcement said families could log into NCSA with the same BeRecruited username and password. If you never activated the NCSA account, start there if you want the old data back.

Do I have to use NCSA now?

No. The account transfer doesn't obligate you to anything. NCSA has a free profile tier and paid memberships whose prices aren't published — families report learning them in a sales call. If you want a simple profile at a published price instead, that's exactly what Lightning is.
