The Kansas Student Data Privacy Act (originally SB 367, 2014; codified at K.S.A. 72-6312 through 72-6317) prohibits unauthorized disclosure of personally identifiable student data, restricts collection of biometric data from students, and bars unauthorized use of devices or mechanisms to assess a student's psychological or emotional state. The Kansas Attorney General publishes a student-data privacy complaint process.
