When do I actually get paid?

On Stripe's standard payout schedule — typically 2 business days after the session is completed. Lightning's 10% is deducted automatically; no invoicing, no chasing.

Do I need my own Stripe account?

Yes — you connect a Stripe account during signup. Stripe is the payment processor; Lightning is the platform. This keeps you in control of your own payment account and tax reporting.

What about group sessions?

Supported. Set a max-roster cap, parents book individual seats, you teach the group. 10% still applies per booking.

Can I leave whenever?

Yes. No contract, no minimum, no exit fee. Deactivate your profile from settings; existing booked sessions still pay out normally.

How do parents find me?

Your profile is listed in the public Lightning trainer directory (/trainer-search/), filterable by sport, location, price, and availability. You can also share your direct profile URL anywhere.

Is this the same product as Lightning for Coaches?

No. Lightning for Coaches is for team coaches — high school, club, travel — who manage rosters and recruiting. Lightning for Private Trainers is for solo skills coaches running 1-on-1 paid lessons. Different products, different pricing.
